Yesterday was the first round of the 2018/19 Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship - the Neil Howard Stages at Oulton Park. After a final test at Three Sisters earlier in the week, we were feeling confident in the car and couldn't wait for the season to begin.

We were seeded number 52 out of 100 and were hoping to get some good points to kick off our championship campaign. Stage one went well for us and we were thrilled to be sitting 40th overall and 3rd out of 12 in Class B after that first stage

Unfortunately after that stage, we were unable to get the car into gear and in spite of the team's best efforts we were forced to retire after just one stage.

Jamie and I are so disappointed that we had to retire from the first event and the team are working hard to get the car up and running again in time for Cadwell Park in two weeks. On the positive side of things, we seemed to have good pace on stage one so we're hoping to have a good run at Cadwell Park.
