Yesterday was our first rally of the year – the MGJ Engineering Brands Hatch Winter Stages. It was also our first event since our crash at Knockhill in December. TnS Rally did an incredible job of getting the car ready in such a short space of time and a lot of people were surprised to see us back out so quickly.

Conditions were much better than they were last year at the event but we had a spin on the first stage and I was quite cautious on the first few stages which cost us a bit of time. After stage one we were sitting 9th in class but in the afternoon we managed to pick up the pace and climb up the order.

We finished the day 6th in class B out of 18 starters which I was really pleased with. Jamie and I have also now moved up to 2nd in class B in the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship at the half way point in the season, with four rounds to go.

Thanks to TnS Rally for working so hard to get us up and running – the car was faultless all day. Our next event is the Snetterton Stage Rally on 16th February.
