Ashleigh Morris

Yesterday I competed in the Enville Stages at Anglesey with my brother James in the co-driver’s seat. It was the first time out for me since our accident at Cadwell Park in April so I was looking forward to getting some valuable seat time.

We’d worked hard to get there, as following our last event the car had an engine and gearbox rebuild and we were running the engine in the day before the rally, even driving the car to the event.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointing event for us. We took it easy on the first couple of stages due to the rebuilt engine, but then on stage 3 the car broke down, with a suspected crank sensor issue and we were forced to retire.

James and I are understandably disappointed but hope to be back out for another event soon.
