Yesterday was the launch of the new season of the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship at Oulton Park, which Jamie and I attended with our partner Cirrus Research.

JIG was in its new livery for the season, white, red and black to honour the Cirrus corporate colours, matched by our new HRX race suits, courtesy of Lightning House.

Cirrus are providing the noise testing equipment for the season and we were able to try out their state of the art equipment to ensure that JIG meets the championship noise requirements – fortunately we passed the test!

We then had the opportunity to talk to Torque, producers of the championship’s television coverage, about our plans for the season and which events we are most looking forward to.

Finally, we were able to take to Oulton Park’s rally stage, with SMJ Photography capturing the moment. It was great to get back out in the car again before the season kicks off.

Our next outing will be next Saturday 21st September at Rally Day at Castle Combe, where JIG will be on display on the BWRDC (British Women Racing Drivers’ Club) stand, and I’ll be giving passenger rides on the circuit and feature stage. For further information visit: http://rallyday.com
