Ashleigh Morris

It was great to return to Anglesey Circuit this weekend! Saturday was the Lee Holland Stages which I took part in with Marc Fowler. I competed in my first ever rally at Anglesey five years ago with RallyMe so it's a place which means a lot to me and it was really special to return there to celebrate my rally anniversary at the same track exactly five years later!

It was great to be back in familiar surroundings after the new challenge of Argyll the weekend before. The event went really well for us all day and we had a good run, finishing 2nd in class B. Even the wing mirrors remained intact! Thanks to Marc for sitting in and keeping me right, to FJ-RS Engineering for looking after JIG and to my sponsors Morris Lubricants and Demon Tweeks for their support.

On Sunday I was back at Anglesey again but for something a bit different! This time I was in the silly seat, co-driving for my brother James Morris in his first ever rally, the SMC Stages! James had hired an MX-5 from Paul Sheard Racing and we took part in the rally trackday on the Friday before the event on Sunday. James did a fantastic job and it meant a lot to sit in with him on his first event. I was really proud of how he drove and he finished 2nd in the MX-5 class. He already can't wait for his next event - another one who has caught the rally bug!

Next up for us is a return to the Scottish Rally Championship for the Scottish Rally next month!
