Saturday was the final round of the 2021 Scottish Rally Championship, the Carlisle Stages at Kielder Forest. I'd always wanted to drive the iconic stages of Kielder so I was really excited to get going although I'd been warned about the ditches!

There were some incredibly tricky stages and conditions were very slippy but we had a clean run and it was awesome to drive such legendary stages! I was a bit hesitant on some of the slippy, fast sections so I definitely need to work on building confidence and speed through those sections but was pleased to get another finish in my first season on gravel with JIG.

It felt like a huge achievement to make it to the end of ‘Killer Kielder’ and I was delighted to finish the day 3rd in class and 42nd in the Carlisle Stages interclub event. The result was also enough to secure me the Scottish Ladies' title after a battle with Aileen Forrest all season!

Thanks to Martin for doing a brilliant job on the notes and to Howard and Connor at FJ-RS Engineering - JIG was on point all day. Thanks also to my partners Morris Lubricants, Carbon Positive Motorsport and Demon Tweeks for their support all season. This year in the Scottish Rally Championship has been a huge learning curve but I've loved every second!

We have one more event before 2021 comes to a close so we’ll be back out for the Grizedale Stages on 3rd/4th December!
